I founded CW Design, LLC in 2006 to help clients live their best lives in their best home. By addressing all aspects of the home design and renovation process, I design functional and beautiful spaces for living well, be it a busy kitchen, a quiet bathroom retreat, or a work or family space. As an independent designer, I source materials from all over, and have developed strong relationships with local small businesses and contractors in the Boston area, which adds a higher level of support for your design process. I strive to make the remodeling experience an enjoyable one. To that end I help you with every aspect of design, budgeting, sourcing and specifying materials, and project management. I work with various styles but with an emphasis on clean lines and classic, timeless design sensibilities. My approach is a collaborative one, with a goal of creating a beautiful, functional space that is at once classic and also deeply personal.
After many years in high-tech management, I returned to my roots in the arts. In addition to a B.A. in Italian and an M.A. in arts administration, I am influenced and inspired by the wonderful, eclectic world of art and design through extensive travel, bringing fresh ideas, use of varied materials, and the melding of old and new to my projects. With my phone camera always on hand I find inspiration in the most unexpected places. Beyond beautiful design, I have a passion for cooking and baking, which is why organized and practical design is so important to me. I also love puzzles and problem solving, both of which are essential to home design. My experience renovating my own home led me to certificates in Decorative Arts and Kitchen and Bath Design from the Boston Architectural College. My award-winning work has been featured in local and national publications, and I have participated in product reviews, professional panels, and as a judge for kitchen and bath design contests. I am a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), and was certified an Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer.
